The kids were tired from the night before, but those who were present put on an excellent show. There were about 75 people in the audience and when they passed a hat at the end of the performance, they had raised $483 for ourt trip to Give Kids the World. A fantastic show of generosity and appreciation.
Saturday, September 11, 2004: Dream Kids performed at their 2nd annual concert. It was held at the Panther Valley High School and was to raise money for Dream Come True and Summitt Hill Fire Company. The concert was a hit and all present enjoyed themselves. The people from Summitt Hill fire company and the community of Summitt Hill were outstanding.There were no expenses because everything was donated. SO all the money raised from ticket sales went to the two organizations. As if that wasn't enough....at the concert, the mayor announced that Summitt Hill Fire Compnay wanted all their proceeds to go to the Dream Kids to use for their trip to Florida to sing at Give Kids the World. We were all overwhelmed. It was an unbelievable night with a variety of songs and a special tribute to 9/11.
Saturday, September 4, 2004: Dream Kids performed at the East Stroudsburg WalMart to raise money for Kristal's disease OI (Osteogenesis Imperfecta). They raised over $1200 in 3 hours. All had a great time and it rained just after we finished.

The Dream Kids put on an awesome show and were joined by the Maureen O'Grady Irish Step Dancers and a new instrumental group from the Nazareth High School. The crowd loved all of it.

The equipment got soaked, but the crowd stayed and when the rain stopped, they wanted us to continue performing. So Jaime went home and grabbed our amp, and we finished the show under the cover of the pavilion even thouigh some of the kids were soaked.

Friday, June 25, 2004: Dream Kids drove all the way up to Hazelton to perform for the WELCA convention. They were adored by all and the audience was fabulous as Candy had them up and dancing to a polka and Dancing in the Streets. It was great to see their enthusiasm.
Monday, June 21, 2004: Dream Kids performed at the Ambassador Club function at Penn Pump. Candy got her first taste of setting up the equipment, and with the exception of having no power (due to not plugging in the sound board), the show went off without a hitch. The audience was great and passed a hat to colect more money for Dream Come True ($300). It was fun for all!
Tuesday, June 8, 2004: Dream Kids performed at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Quilting Guild meeting in Bethlehem. We had the Irish Step Dancers come and perform and the Dream Kids performed a great show. It was tight quarters, but they pulled it off.
Sunday, June 6, 2004: Dream Kids performed for the ArtsQuest(Musikfest volunteers) at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem. The crowd was awesome and loved the show the kids put on.

Saturday, May 15, 2004: Dream Kids performed for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life in Macungie. The kids had a good time performing on a flatbed truck.

Thursday, April 29, 2004: Dream Kids performed at the Northampton High School for Career Day. We had Jaime, Amanda, and the Gilberts perform. They did a great job.

Thursday, April 15, 2004: Dream Kids performed at the Northampton Community Center for the retired teachers of Northampton County. They put on a nice show and had a good time.
Thursday, April 1, 2004: Dream Kids performed at Lehigh Mountaintop Campus for the Lehigh Valley Volunteer Awards. They were well received and did a fabulous job.

Sunday, February 22, 2004: Dream Kids performed at the Presbyterian Church in East Stroudsburg. With only 6 performers, they put on a very nice show. It also featured Kaitlyn Sledzinski playing the violin and keyboard, and we had the debut of Morgan Sledzinski singing Shout to the Lord with Jaime and Kristal. It was a good show!
Thursday, February 19, 2004: Dream Kids performed at the Bushkill Elementary School's PTA dinner. The kids performed a variety of songs and we had mostly dancers. Amanda was back from college and performed for us. What a treat!
Saturday, January 24, 2004: Dream Kids performed at Stoney Brook Extended Care Facility in Pennington, NJ. The facility was very nice and the kids put on a great show. The residents received them well.
Tuesday, December 23, 2003: Dream Kids performed their final performance for 2003 at Intermediate Unit 20's Christmas party in Palmer Township. Everyone had a great time.
Friday, December 19, 2003: Dream Kids performed at their 2nd concert at the Four Seasons in Saucon Valley. The crowd was great and the kids were awesome!

Monday, December 15, 2003: Dream Kids presented their 2003 check for $11,500 at the Dream Come True Telethon held at Westgate Mall in Bethlehem. They also performed a few Christmas Carols. What a great job these kids did during 2003. 53 events and $11,500. Great Job kids!!!

Wednesday, November 5, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Whitehall Exhange club dinner at the Terrace in Walnutport. It was a small crowd (about 30), but they were very generous and enjoyed the kids performance.
Sunday, November 2, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Karen Coleman's pet tea at St. John's Lutheran Church in Nazareth. They raised money for the SPCA in honor of Kiska (the Dieruff High School mascot).
Tuesday, October 28, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Columbia Fire Company in Roseto. We had a small crowd and a small group of kids, but it was a great show.
Monday, October 20, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Walmart in Easton as they were present when the quilt was presented to Terry Seifert, the wife of Capt. Christopher Scott Seifert who was killed in Iraq. It was an emotional time for all present.
Sunday, October 19, 2003: Dream Kids performed at their first ever Concert at the Scottish Rites Cathedral in Allentown. The show, the kids, the participants, and the volunteers were fabulous. We raised over $1,000 and it put us over our 2003 goal of $10,000. What a wonderful display of talent, cooperation and working as a group for a common goal. We truly are a Dream Kids family!
Monday, October 13, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Walmart in Easton as they were presented with a matching grant from Walmart and the proceeds from the Coke trailer from our August fundraiser. All told, with Walmart's help, Dream Kids raised over $3,200 for Dream Come True in a 4 hour fundraiser held on August 9th. THANK YOU Darlene D'Allessandro and her co-workers, management, and all those who donated funds that day! You are awesome!!
Sunday, October 5, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Dream Come True Day at Becky's Drive-In in Berlinsville. Though we only had 5 performers, they put on a very strong show despite the strong winds and cold weather.
Saturday, September 27, 2003: Dream Kids performed at a Fundraiser for Krystal Nemeroff and O.I. (Osteogenesis Imperfecta) at Walmart in Stroudsburg. We raised over $1,500 as the kids put on a powerful and enjoyable show.
Saturday, September 13, 2003: Dream Kids performed at an Evening on Main Street in Nazareth. While performing in the rain, the kids still maintained a very nice sized crowd who braved the elements to see them perform. It was a fabulous show under very unique conditions.
Tuesday, September 9, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Gracedale Festival. Plenty of food, fun and happy faces were the results of this fun event. The Dream Kids had a full program and the show was great.
Wednesday, August 13, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Allen Fire Company for the AARP meeting. It was a great show and the kids were all into it as they performed for the 150 or so people in the audience.
Saturday, August 9, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Walmart in Easton. We had all of the kids and performed 55 songs. The show was outstanding and the kids raised $1700. Our thanks to Darlene and Walmart for their support and hard work in the Coke trailer. Special thanks to Brucie for collecting money for us!
Friday, August 8, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Carbon County Fair in Lehighton. They put on a good show and the crowd loved them. Great job Kids!!
Sunday, August 3, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Bushkill Park in Easton. We had almost all of the kids and the show went very well. We got the entire show in just before the rain hit. That didn't stop the kids from enjoying complimentary rides. Our thanks to Neal (Balloons the Clown) for his generous donation and continued support of the Dream Kids and Dream Come True!!!
Saturday, August 2, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Dream Come True Picnic held at the Nazareth Boro Park. The show was interrupted by rain and they had to cut it short, but not before the Dream Kids assisted others in a round of the Chicken Dance, YMCA, The Electric Slide, and the Hokey Pokey. Everyone had an enjoyable time.
Wednesday, July 30, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Four Points Sheraton in Allentown for their first ever CD release party. Mr. Kostas had all the press, radio, and TV there to help promote the CD. Our thanks to Mr. Kostas, Rayann Vasko, Val and Four Points Sheraton, and the Dream Come True / Camelot House Organization for all their help and support in making this Dream Come True a reality.

Wednesday, July 9, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Four Points Sheraton in Bethlehem. Jaime, Shannon, Bethany, and Jenessa performed several songs for the guests. They were then treated to stay in a suite, go swimming and have pizza before their 2nd show in the afternoon. Thanks girls!

Thursday, May 15, 2003: Dream Kids performed at fundraiser for Scott Seifert who was killed in the war in Iraq. The fundraiser was held at the Scottish Rites Center in Allentown.
Saturday, May 10, 2003: Dream Kids performed at WalMart in Whitehall to raise money for SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). The show went well and the kids helped Alexa raise $1300 which she will add to other money she already raised and present a check for $3800 to the SMA foundation in Chicago.
Tuesday, May 6, 2003: Dream Kids performed at a Mother/Daughter Banquet at the United Methodist Church in Bangor. Though they only had a few performers, the ladies enjoyed the show and the Dream Kids felt it went well.
Monday, May 5, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Gracedale Talent Night. This was a special evening for Dream Kids as we had two of our youngest performers do the entire show. Teara Gilbert and Jilian Keller performed all but one number. The other number featured Bruce Gilbert joining Teara for a rendition of Chicago. It was a well-received show.

Tuesday, April 22, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Freemansburg Elementary School program. They performed a series of Patriotic numbers along with some pop tunes. They even got the Prinicpal, Mr. Washington, and some students on stage to dance.
Wednesday, April 2, 2003: Dream Kids performed at the Holiday Inn in Bethlehem for the Northampton Bar Association. They performed a series of Patriotic numbers and were well received.
Sunday, March 8, 2003: Dream Kids performed at Gracedale for the Games Day hosted by St. John's Lutheran Church Youth Group in Nazareth. They sang a few songs, assisted the residents with the games, and served food and drinks. The residents appreciated all their efforts.
Saturday, February 15, 2003: Dream Kids performed for the Northampton County Republican Committee at the Holiday Inn East. They performed all patriotic tunes and were well received. They even learned a little about politics while they were there.

Monday, January 20, 2003: Dream Kids performed for the Slate Belt Sr. Center at the Blue Valley farm Show in Bangor. It was a limited group due to illnesses, but they performed very well. Jilian returned to Dream Kids and sang Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables. Afterwards, we all went bowling. Three cheers to Bethany for having the highest score!
Tuesday, December 24: Dream Kids performed for the Spirit of the Lehigh Valley at the Four Points Sheraton in Allentown to help feed the needy.
Saturday, December 21, 2002: Dream Kids performed for the Lions Club Childrens Christmas Party in Lehighton. Later, they performed for the Festival of Lights in Lehighton for the third year in a row.

Wednesday, December 18, 2002: Dream Kids performed at the Nazareth Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. Candy did a presentation on Dream Come True and several of the kids sang. They were very well received.
Tuesday, December 17, 2002: Dream Kids performed in the morning on B104 radio station with Ken Matthews. They sang Christmas Carols and featured the debut of the B104 song. They were asked to record it after the show for B104. In the afternoon, the Dream Kids performed for the "Pioneers" at the Holiday Inn East. They did a great program with a small number of kids, but the people were very appreciative and gave generously to Dream Come True.
Saturday, December 14, 2002: Today was a first for Dream Kids. We had two performances at the same time. Candy and the younger ones performed at the Dream Come True Christmas Party held at the East Side Boys Club in Allentown. Scott and the older ones headed to Moselem Springs to perform for the Shriner women. While we had some technical difficulties and some loud music from the room next door at Moselem Springs, the kids did a great job. The younger kids did a fine job at the Christmas party.
Wednesday, December 11, 2002: The Dream Kids performed at the Whitehall Exchange Club meeting at the Bethlehem Club. Jaime, Adam, Kaitlyn and Candy ventured out in the icy weather to perform. The people enjoyed their show very much and were thankful they came out.
Friday, December 6, 2002: The Dream Kids performed at the Dream Come True Telethon held at Westgate Mall. They also presented their check in the amount of $7,000. |
